Places to Visit near Windrush Barn
- Silecroft beach (1.5 miles). There is a carpark and seating beside this enormous quiet beach.
- Silecroft also has a golf club with beautiful views over the sea and Murthwaite Green Horse Riding Centre which offers beach rides.
- Haverigg beach and café (2 miles). This lovely sheltered golden sandy beach is just a short drive away. You can also enjoy fantastic views along the nearby sea wall.
- Hodbarrow RSBP nature reserve and the Duddon estuary (2.5 miles). Breathtaking views to the Lakeland fells and Coniston Old Man.

- Coniston Water and village.
- Wastwater, with spectacular lakeland scenery and one of the areas most scenic pubs with great food.

- Ulverston, a picturesque market town which was the home of Stan Laurel.
